Virtual AI uses artificial intelligence to create schedules for linear and FAST channels

Op2mise from Virtual AI is an AI-driven technology that uses algorithms to take a data-driven approach to generating schedules that reflect a channel's characteristics

Virtual AI is launching a new AI-based solution for content owners, broadcasters and TV channels to generate schedules for both FAST (free ad-supported streaming TV services) and traditional linear channels.

Op2mise is an AI-driven technology that uses algorithms to take a data-driven approach to generating schedules that reflect a channel’s characteristics. It optimises title utilisation, prioritisation, distribution, and the placement of ad breaks for FAST channels to maximise revenue.

The technology has already been implemented for several FAST channels and the company is also working with broadcasters to implement the product for traditional linear TV channels.

Op2mise creates the schedules for FAST channels and optimises the ad breaks to maximise the revenue opportunities, said Virtual AI. It is fully integrated with Amagi’s Cloudport cloud-based playout platform.

The solution is available as a SaaS cloud-based product that runs on highly secure and scalable AWS infrastructure, added the company.
