TVU Networks has announced the launch of MediaMesh.
Aiming to boost cloud migration, the company is opening its APIs and inviting cooperation from broadcasters, partners and developers. Estimating just 1 per cent of live productions have fully migrated due to barriers such as complex connectivity issues, TVU Networks is introducing global shared memory for live video.
MediaMesh provides users with the infrastructure to maximise existing resources, simplifying connectivity and enabling smoother integration, said the company.
“The future of live production depends on collaboration, not closed ecosystems,” said Paul Shen, CEO of TVU Networks. “By opening our platform through MediaMesh, we’re giving broadcasters, developers, and partners the freedom to innovate faster—together.”
Adam Marshall, CPO at Grass Valley, commented, “By integrating Grass Valley AMPP with TVU MediaMesh, we’re giving our customers the seamless workflows they’ve been asking for.”
Dieter Backx, VP control and orchestration at EVS, added, “We are pleased to announce the integration of TVU MediaMesh, which facilitates a seamless transition to cloud routing for broadcasters.”
TVU has announced the formation of the MediaMesh Advisory Board, aiming to guide the platform’s evolution, which features leaders from across the media and entertainment environment including Chyron, EVS, Grass Valley, Vizrt and Solid State Logic.
