Masstech launches two new Kumulate modules, IBM/Irdeto integrate watermarking, and more

TVBEurope rounds up the latest product and tech news from around the market, including Masstech, IBM, Irdeto and JVC

Masstech has added two new modules to Kumalate, its video storage management platform.

According to the company, Kumulate Gallery provides enhanced web-based storefront capabilities and Kumulate Gateway offers users intuitive and automated content acquisition.

Kumulate Gallery is aimed at both B2B and B2C content creators and provides a platform to display and sell content, increasing the potential market and revenue opportunities. User-defined attributes are used to automatically publish content to the relevant storefront, allowing organisations to reach the right audiences without complicated rights management.

Kumulate Gateway is designed to simplify and streamline the content acquisition process. According to Masstech, it provides a single location for content submissions and automates the compliance-check process.

“The latest additions to our Kumulate platform bring automation, efficiency and enhanced revenue opportunities to content providers and creators at each end of the media supply chain,” said George Kilpatrick, CEO, Masstech. “As assets evolve through their lifecycle from production through processing, packaging, to distribution, Kumulate provides a customisable storage environment, that can evolve to support the promotion and sale of content with Kumulate Gallery and streamline content acquisition with Kumulate Gateway.”

Irdeto and IBM launch pre-integrated solution for video file transfer and forensic watermarking

Irdeto and IBM have joined forces to launch what they describe as the world’s first pre-integrated solution for video file transfer and forensic watermarking.

Irdeto TraceMark for Distribution is a watermarking solution for content owners, post production studios, and content aggregators.

According to the companies, the full integration of TraceMark and Aspera on Cloud eliminates the need for costly integrations of the two workflows and is replaced with fast deployments that scale to any number of distributed files and downloads.

It allows users to click one button to watermark video files on the fly, while the content is being distributed to an end-user.
