ITV has announced a strategic partnership with Fincons Group.
As part of ongoing work to simplify its supply chain and meet changing market and customer demands, the UK’s largest commercial broadcaster has selected Fincons to support its leveraging of SDVI’s Rally platform, which has already been adopted by the Global Partnerships arm of ITV Studios.
Fincons’ experience in integrating SDVI’s solutions was a key factor in ITV’s decision to partner with the company, as was its hybrid delivery model, blending on-site resources with remote workers from the group’s Italian delivery centre.
Paul Kane, director of technology, content supply and distribution at ITV said, “We were looking for a company that wouldn’t just do things for us, but with us, integrating into our working group as a unified team and facing the challenges of this transformation project together. With Fincons, we found a proposal that aligned with our goals and the deep knowledge we were looking for.”
The project also aims to enhance operational flexibility at scale, enhancing efficiency and managing costs through supporting content-agnostic ingestion and delivery combinations.
Francesco Moretti, deputy CEO and CEO international at Fincons Group, said, “It is great to be working with such a world class media organisation as ITV. We’re really proud to take a key role in this important project and provide our capabilities honed over years of support to international broadcasters in the UK, Ireland, US, Italy, France and Switzerland. We are strongly committed to working together for the evolution of ITV’s new cloud-based media supply chain”.
