Codemill is to acquire Cantemo, developers of next-gen media asset management solutions.
According to the companies, the acquisition will lead to accelerated product development of Cantemo’s MAM, Cantemo Portal, as well as integration with Codemill’s Accurate.Video product suite and Accurate Player SDK.
Cantemo Portal offers out-of-the-box MAM functionality, combined with REST APIs for advanced customisation. The Accurate.Video suite is focussed on specific tasks within the content supply chain, such as media QA and QC, VoD poster generation and web browser based video editing.
Codemill says it also intends to integrate Cantemo Portal with other parts of the media workflow.
Current Cantemo clients include ITV, ViacomCBS, Orange and Madison Square Garden, while Codemill works with the BBC, ITV ProSieben.Sat1, and Joyn.
The deal does not include Cantemo’s sister company, iconik, which will continue as a separate company led by Cantemo co-founder Parham Azimi.
