Globecast has been selected by AMC Networks International – UK to provide playout and distribution services across its 21 European channels.
Playout will be delivered using both the Cloud and on-prem servers at Globecast’s London centre. Content will be stored in the Cloud and then downloaded onto the relevant servers for playout. All content in the Cloud will be managed by Globecast. The company is also supplying full channel monitoring.
Globecast is also handling the distribution of the channels to a wide range of AMC partners and affiliates, using traditional means such as satellite, IP and ASI fibre as well as newer technologies such as Zixi and SRT.
