Dalet has announced a collaboration with Agence France-Presse (AFP) to create foundations for AI-assisted production workflows.
Designed around AFP’s editorial workflows and metadata model, the AFP content experience in Dalet Flex aims to provide news organisations with enhanced access to the agency’s content. Media is automatically fed into Dalet Flex at regular intervals, with production teams able to quickly and effectively search and discover content, said Dalet. Breaking news updates are available in near real-time, said the company.
Users can search and filter content using AFP metadata including scene-by-scene descriptions, shot composition, locations, subjects, soundbites and contextual information. Production-ready content compatible with the Dalet environment aims to enable seamless editing.
Users can select the exact shot type they require, alongside immediate access to visibility of its author, status, source, location and linked articles.

The collaboration aims to strengthen foundations for AI-assited newsroom workflows, with Dalet’s media-aware AI platform ensuring relevant content is surfaced while maintaining AFP’s trusted editorial context.
