OTT solutions company ViewLift is integrating Bitmovin’s cloud-based video streaming infrastructure solutions into its infrastructure in order to help it elevate the standard of viewing experiences on OTT platforms worldwide.
The two companies have entered a multi-year partnership that will enable ViewLift customers to access Bitmovin’s capabilities in order to maximise the viewing experience.
Bitmovin’s encoding solutions include the Bitmovin Next-Generation VoD Encoder, which has multi-codec streaming, 8K and multi-HDR support, and its Live Event Encoder.
According to the companies, these capabilities will enable ViewLift customers to employ cloud encoding in order to scale video pipelines efficiently and intelligently optimise adaptive bit rate (ABR) ladders to lower content delivery network (CDN) costs without sacrificing video quality.
Bitmovin Analytics, Bitmovin’s Stream Lab, an automated device testing solution and the Bitmovin Player will also be integrated with ViewLift’s OTT Platform, allowing uses to test, deploy and optimise video playback.
