New Spanish OTT service Plataforma Multimedia de Operadores has chosen Verimatrix to provide a complete multi-screen security solution for the platform.
The new streamer will be available on Android set-top boxes, smartphones, tablets, laptops and smart TVs which will all integrate Verimatrix multi-DRM software to protect content rights and secure revenue.
Plataforma Multimedia de Operadores, which is due to launch in the first quarter of 2020, is owned by Spanish cable companies Procono, Opencable, ACUTEL and AOTEC, who expect the service to eventually reach at least 600,000 subscribers.
