LiveU has announced the launch of the LU800, an all-in-one production-level field unit for live news and sports coverage.
The new product includes native 5G transmission, up to 4K p60 10-bit HDR transmission, mutli-cam production, HEVC encoding and remote production capabilities.
According to LiveU, it supports up to four fully frame-synced feeds in high resolution from a single unit, using IP bonding of up to 14 connections.
The unit has up to eight 5G internal, dual-SIM modems, supported by high-efficiency internal antennas, and has been optimised for 5G operations.
