InSync has a announced the launch of its openGear frame rate conversion module.
Aiming to offer high conversion quality in a compact form, InSync Technology’s InGear MCC card provides 10 channels of motion-compensated conversion in a two rack unit chassis.

In what the company said is a world first, this channel density, coupled with reduced power requirements, lowers both capital and operating costs in delivering video standards conversion for broadcasters and pro-AV broadcasters.
The solution ensures frame rates and formats are matched with the device and region in which they are viewed, offering enhanced viewer experiences and providing revenue generating opportunities. openGear’s modular platform enables users to choose from a range of different manufacturers and solution providers for different areas of video signal processing.
Commenting, James Taylor, CEO of InSync said, “Whether you’re a mainstream broadcaster with hundreds of channels, a corporate brand wishing to have a direct-to-consumer channel with quality video, the new InGear MCC product will ensure your viewers will get a quality video experience without blurring, distortions or artefacts that disrupt the viewing experience due to unmatched device inputs or poor video conversion attempts in the workflow.”
