Italy’s RAI to broadcast Eurovision in 4K

Both semi-finals and the Grand Final on May 14th will be available to RAI viewers in 4K for the first time

Italian broadcaster RAI will broadcast the Eurovision Song Contest in 4K when it is held in Turin later this month.

Both semi-finals and the Grand Final will be available to RAI viewers in 4K for the first time, and will mirror the standard HD broadcast.

Italy is hosting this year’s event following Måneskin’s win in Rotterdam last year.

According to reports, two UHD OB trucks have been in place at the host venue Pala Olimpico since mid-March. One is believed to have travelled from the Netherlands, and the other from Sweden.

The semi-finals take place on May 10th and 12th, followed by the Grand Final on May 14th.

The stage build is already underway at Pala Olimpico with rehearsals already underway for the two semi-finals.
