Groupe M6 has followed Tubi by launching an app for its M6+ streaming service in ChatGPT.
According to the company, it’s the first time a French platform has been integrated directly into a conversational AI tool.
The aim of the integration is to allow M6+ users to search for ideas of what they want to watch by using ChatGPT’s conversational capabilities. Users can tell the AI what they’re in the mood for, moods, genres, actors, or themes, which the AI then interprets into recommendations.
“Transforming search into conversation brings every desire closer to the right programme,” David Larramendy, chairman of the executive board of Groupe M6, told FormatBiz.
“This is a completely new approach—a first in France for a streaming platform—fully aligned with our Group’s transformation strategy, serving both user experience and content visibility.”
Last month Tubi became the first streamer to launch its native app within ChatGPT.
