FIFA substitutes its streaming service for DAZN

The move follows the initial launch of FIFA+ in 2022

FIFA has officially moved its streaming platform to DAZN.

Originally launched in 2022, FIFA+ provided fans with access to live matches from “every corner of the world”, as well as interactive games, news, tournament information, video content and more. However, by 2024, the organisation was looking to raise $2 billion to invest in the platform.

Now, FIFA has partnered with DAZN, which it worked with furing the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, to create a new “Global Home of Football”.

Around 8,500 live events will be delivered annually, including a portfolio of content from FIFA Member Organisations (MAs). DAZN’s global distribution capabilities will enable MAs to extend their reach, maximising their content and developing new opportunities, said the streamer.

Additionally, the platform will provide FIFA with opportunities to refine its digital offering, leveraging data and engagement tools to optimise performance.

Shay Segev, DAZN Group CEO, said, “Bringing FIFA+ to DAZN reflects our strong partnership with FIFA and our shared ambition to grow football’s reach and cultural impact around the world. With our global footprint, innovative technology, and powerful marketing engine, DAZN will enable FIFA+ content to reach hundreds of millions of sports fans worldwide. Launching FIFA+ will allow fans everywhere to access matches, iconic moments, and original content on DAZN for free as part of the world’s largest football community. DAZN continues to exponentially grow its premium content portfolio and cement its position as the global home of sport.”
