Broadpeak has debuted its Multiview solution, designed to enable content broadcasters and streamers to widen their personalisation offer.
Enhancing traditional workflows through a multi-package approach, Broadpeak’s solution combines video feeds after encoding, at the packager level. This ensures less processing is required at the encoder level, delivering a single stream, said the company. End-user devices do not require particular player capability or extra processing power, enabling providers to create and scale multiview content across a broad audience.
Multiview delivers the ability to simultaneously watch a number of different events or follow numerous camera angles, providing improved cost and streaming efficiency when compared with other options on the market, said the company.
“Multiview is quickly becoming table stakes for the biggest sports streaming companies—especially around major championship finals or global events like the World Cup,” said Jacques Le Mancq, president and CEO at Broadpeak.
“Delivering it cost-efficiently at scale remains a persistent challenge due to heavy processing requirements and limited screen configurations. Our approach enables unlimited layout flexibility with greater efficiency and compatibility. We’re excited to bring this next evolution of multiview to the global streaming market.”
