Steady ahead for Riedel and APEX

APEX is a provider of camera stabilisation systems enabling users to shoot from vehicles for the production of content including live TV, commercials and films

Riedel has announced an investment into APEX Stabilizations.

Founded in 2019, APEX is a provider of camera stabilisation systems enabling users to shoot from vehicles for the production of content including live TV, commercials and films. The agreement aims to boost APEX’s presence on the international market through Riedel’s global sales and service network. Under the agreement, APEX will remain as an independent company within the Riedel Group. The partnership will create synergies at the development hubs in Vienna, said the company, allowing the sharing of ideas and technologies.

Commenting, Thomas Riedel, founder and CEO of The Riedel Group, said: “I firmly believe in the innovative technologies of the Viennese pioneers at APEX. Investments in such specialised technology are investments in our future and open up new niches in our core markets. Cameras with APEX stabilisation are already being used in many large-scale productions we are involved in — and with APEX as part of the Riedel Group, we will be able to create even more comprehensive offerings for our customers.”

Thomas Schindler, MD at APEX Stabilizations, added: “Whether for live events, film productions, or TV broadcasts, the solutions of our two companies have become an integral part of the modern media landscape and have often excelled together, most recently at the games in Paris. By joining forces, we will develop innovative products that set new standards in terms of both image quality and smooth communication.”
