Sky Production Services awarded DPP Committed to Sustainability mark

SPS scored five out of five in the DPP's sustainability survey

Sky Production Services (SPS) is joining the DPP’s Committed to Sustainability Programme after scoring five out of five in the organisation’s sustainability survey.

SPS worked together with Sky Sports and the wider company to achieve the DPP’s Committed to Sustainability mark, based on its policies and standards, energy, waste, and emissions.

Aligned with Sky’s ambition to be net zero carbon by 2030, SPS has introduced remote productions as well as moving all UK and Irish OB generators to biofuel.

Inga Ruehl, executive director of production services and operations, Sky Sports, said: “At Sky Sports and SPS, we understand our responsibility to do the right thing and that means we must do all we can to eliminate or reduce the impact of our operations on our natural environment.

“It’s fantastic to receive validation of the team’s hard work by being awarded the DPP Committed to Sustainability mark accreditation with five leaves, and it highlights the progress we’re making to transform our business on the way to achieving net zero carbon by 2030.”
