Riedel refreshes SimplyLive suite

The launch introduces a new flexible licensing initiative as well as significant advances across the SimplyLive video production range

Riedel has announced a series of upgrades to its SimplyLive suite.

The launch introduces Riedel’s SimplyLive Production Suite Flex licensing programme, which enables production environments to be tailored to meet operational and financial needs, either on-premise, remote or cloud-based, said the company. Users can choose from a range of hardware options and deployment models either as one-off purchases to pay-as-you-go or hybrid models.

Building on the RefBox software solution, SimplyLive RiView packages the solution into bundles to meet a wide range of video review requirements. RiView’s RV4, RV8 and RV16 offer configurations from 4 to 16 HD inputs with synchronised multi-angle control, a touchscreen interface and remote capabilities. Large scale review requirements can be met through networking multiple RiView systems. All models feature pinch-and-zoom functionality with support for super slow-motion (SSM) cameras.

RiMotion R16 and R166 enhance SimplyLive RiMotion’s live replay solutions with expanded operator configurations, networking capabilities, SSM support and integration of touchscreen and dedicated replay controllers. R16 provides up to 16 HD channels, with R166 offering up to 16 HD or 6 UHD channels.

Riedel has also upgraded the Venue Gateway signal transport and multichannel contribution solution with Venue Gateway 8 Standard, 8 Advanced and 1612 Advanced. The entry-level Standard model provides 8 bidirectional SDI channels while Advanced versions feature higher depth encoding, increased networking flexibility and support for HDR workflows. Designed for large-scale productions, the 1612 Advanced provides 16 bidirectional SDI channels, expanded tally integration and enhanced audio processing.

Designed for deployment on COTS hardware or public and private cloud infrastructure, the new SimplyLive Connect REST API enables integration with external broadcast control systems, allowing monitoring, management and configuration as part of a unified environment, boosting interoperability and enhancing production workflows.

Paul Macklin, senior product manager, live video replay at Riedel Communications, commented, “With the SimplyLive portfolio, we are not only delivering flexible tools for today’s productions but also laying the foundation for the future of COTS-based live production. By moving SimplyLive manufacturing to our Wuppertal headquarters, we’ve reinforced our commitment to engineering excellence, ensuring every product embodies Riedel’s uncompromising standards of quality. This step allows us to strengthen our innovation pipeline, expand our capabilities, and give customers the confidence that SimplyLive solutions will continue to evolve in step with the industry’s changing demands.”
