Quicklink has revealed details of its collaboration with ITV Studios on Saturday Night Takeaway.
The broadcaster has deployed QuickLink solutions to streamline its remote production workflows, enabling fine tuning of audio and video signals from locations throughout the UK.
Lifted Entertainment, part of ITV Studios, used Quicklink hardware to provide an end-to-end solution, eliminating the need for laptops and capture cards at remote sites. QuickLink’s StudioEdge offers the capability to receive video calls services such as Zoom and Teams but the broadcaster selected its in-built StudioCall feature, aiming to simplify the process.

David Williams, Lifted Entertainment’s technical director, said, “Using QuickLink hardware both out on location and in the studio enabled us to have a true end-to-end solution. Monitoring and managing all connections from the QuickLink web UI enabled us to quickly troubleshoot issues and ensure every item went smoothly, from Ring My Bell to Singalong Live.”
Technical producer, Leon Langdale, added, “QuickLink is the perfect solution for our hugely demanding remote production environment. There is no other programme on television with the size and scale that Saturday Night Takeaway has. The technical demands of the format grow each series, and we simply couldn’t make it without a key partner in QuickLink.”
