Limitless wins Premiership Women’s Rugby broadcast contract

The deal includes a strategy to bring forward female commentators, analysts, sideline reporters, and production staff

Limitless and Premiership Women’s Rugby (PWR) have entered a new partnership.

The four year agreement aims to ensure audiences have access to all PWR live content across TV, digital and streaming channels, boosting visibility of the sport.

During regular 18-week seasons, Limitless will produce and deliver four games every weekend in addition to the tournament’s semi-finals and final. All nine PWR club’s games will be broadcast live with one weekly marquee match shown on TNT Sports and one on BBC iPlayer, while the remaining two matches will feature on PWR’s YouTube channel.

The partnership aims to ensure:

  • Broadcast quality and reliability: Limitless brings extensive experience in multi-camera OB and multi-platform delivery to ensure high standards across all outputs.
  • Innovative digital content: tailored content for YouTube, social media, highlights, behind-the-scenes features, and more.
  • Talent development: a strategy to bring forward female commentators, analysts, sideline reporters, and production staff.
  • Broadcast quality and reliability: Limitless brings extensive experience in multi-camera OB and multi-platform delivery to ensure high standards across all outputs.

PWR executive chair Genevieve Shore commented, “This partnership with Limitless is a giant leap forward for Premiership Women’s Rugby. Finally, every match can be seen by fans across the country and beyond. It gives us a platform to showcase our athletes week in, week out and will unlock opportunities for female voices in commentary, analysis, and production. We’re going further than simply broadcasting matches; we’re intent on building a legacy for women’s sport. We know our fans and athletes have been crying out for this level of coverage since day one, and we’re excited to finally be able to grant that wish.”

Limitless CEO and founder Claire Wilkie added: “This is a landmark moment for women’s rugby. The World Cup showed us what this game can do – the power, the passion, the energy of the fans and the players. Now it’s about keeping that fire alive, week in, week out, with every match on show.

“At Limitless, we believe in creating opportunities to tell stories without limits. Whether it’s on screen, in the commentary box, or behind the camera, our mission is simple: reach the next generation, ignite their passion, and give this sport the platform it deserves.”

Under the terms of the agreement, Limitless will provide coverage from the 2025/26 season onwards, with the offering evolving over the contract period.
