EVS has unveiled a new software-defined multi-application server platform designed to give live production teams greater flexibility in how they deploy and evolve their infrastructure.
XT-S is part of the company’s LiveCeption portfolio, taking a different approach to live production infrastructure by providing a common platform that runs multiple applications. Production teams deploy the applications they need based on their operational requirements, and adjust as those requirements change, said the company.
At launch, the platform supports LiveCeption replay and UHD zoom, with additional applications expected to be introduced over time.
“Live production teams want to modernise their environments, but they also need to know that the technology at the heart of their workflows will perform when it matters most,” said Serge Van Herck, CEO at EVS.
“With XT-S, we are combining the flexibility of software-defined architecture with the performance and reliability EVS is known for. This gives customers greater freedom to evolve their production environments without compromising operational confidence.”
