Dejero will be simulating a live remote broadcast production at this year’s NAB Show.
Live reporting and interviews from locations around Las Vegas will be streamed to the company’s NAB stand three times a day during the show. Two operatives, one using a Dejero EnGo 3 mobile video transmitter with a GoPro camera and Starlink Mini satellite antenna and the other with the Dejero LivePlus App on an iOS smartphone, will run the livestreams in collaboration with Tividoo GmbH and Grabyo.

Michael Stanton, director of sales, Americas at Dejero, said, “We wanted to bring the excitement of the Las Vegas Strip live to our NAB booth visitors and demonstrate how powerful and simple our connectivity solutions are in a live production scenario. Vegas is a bustling city with thousands of tourists, so network congestion can be rife for broadcasters in such environments. Where better to demonstrate just how our Smart Blending Technology can deliver exceptional picture quality with low-latency.”
Connecting via a combination of Starling and cellular network paths, Dejero’s Smart Blending Technology simultaneously blends multiple IP connections from a range of network providers, including fibre/broadband, 4G/5G and GEO/LEO/MEO satellite and aims to achieve uninterrupted provision.
A Dejero GateWay network aggregation device will provide internet backhaul for the demonstration, with video signals sent to a Dejero PathWay encoder via a WayPoint receiver located in a simulated production environment, said the company. One-way voice communication from the NAB hub to the outside reporters is enabled by IFB for both EnGo 3 and the LivePlus App.
Tividoo GmbH will provide and manage the Starlink Mini satellite antenna with video feeds transported to Grabyo’s cloud video platform, enabling clipping, editing and distribution.
“The EnGo and LivePlus App provide a fast, secure and portable way to achieve stable connectivity, giving production crews and reporters peace of mind when it comes to delivering live camera feeds from any location. We’re looking forward to showing people at NAB how it’s done,” said Stanton.
At Stand SL8516, Dejero will also be showcasing a range of connectivity solutions including its 5G mobile video transmitter with GateWay mode and GateWay 3220 aggregation device.
