Avid has announced an update to its MediaCentrak workflow platform that includes the addition of the new MediaCentral | Acquire IP-based ingest scheduler.
The update also includes remote collaboration and improved hybrid working support.
Avid said the new capabilities will enable media companies to accelerate production on premises and in the cloud.
The MediaCentral | Acquire ingest scheduler app in MediaCentral | Cloud UX automates ingest scheduling for SDI and IP sources by controlling FastServe | Ingest, FastServe | I/O and MediaCentral | Stream, added the company.
MediaCentral | Acquire also supports Edit While Capture workflows for faster turnaround, while enabling ingest management from anywhere using only a web browser, said Avid.
