Avid integrates Wolftech News with MediaCentral

The unified, cloud-based solution combines AI-powered planning, resource management, production and multiplatform publishing

Avid has announced the launch of its integrated news platform.

Following its debut at NAB Show 2025, Avid has released its production-ready platform, integrating MediaCentral and Wolftech News within the MediaCentral Cloud UX, aiming to provide newsrooms with planning, story-writing, media production and resource management capabilities within a single AI-driven ecosystem.

The integration is a result of Avid’s acquisition of Wolftech in November and aims to drive newsroom efficiency and streamlined editorial collaboration.

Benefits include:

  • Pitch-to-publication workflows: bringing together planning, resource management and equipment booking with production and publishing in one web-based interface.
  • Seamless, faster storytelling: eliminating duplication and delays with centralised communication and intelligent automation to drive efficiencies in the production chain.
  • Story-centric, multiplatform distribution: reaching audiences everywhere faster with AI-powered content distribution to digital, social, and broadcast channels.
  • Empowered remote and field teams: using mobile tools that connect newsroom operations in real-time.
  • Futureproof architecture: leveraging Avid’s open platform, integration engine, and AI framework to support evolving technology needs.

Arne Berven, CEO of Wolftech and SVP, Broadcast Strategy at Avid, commented, “Avid is equipping news teams to collaborate across geographies, streamline editorial processes and amplify their stories at unmatched speed and scale. We are eliminating barriers through our AI-powered, unified toolset –responding directly to the industry’s call for an end-to-end, best-in-class platform that breaks down workflow silos and accelerates storytelling.”

Designed to meet the needs of national and regional broadcasters, among other media companies, the platform aims to allow stories to be delivered faster and across more platforms.
