Lumens’ latest PTZ camera includes NDI|HX3 support

The camera's features include 12G-SDI, SRT streaming, and support for the BT.2020 colour space, making it suitable for live streaming, broadcasting, and live events

Lumens has updated its product range to include the NDI|HX3-capable VC-A71SN PTZ camera which transmits 4K video at up to 60 fps.

The camera’s features include 12G-SDI, SRT streaming, and support for the BT.2020 colour space, making it suitable for live streaming, broadcasting, and live events.

“NDI|HX3 is a breakthrough video over IP production and transmission format, delivering superb video quality and low latency at low bitrates. Activating the format in this new broadcast-quality camera represents a significant advance in PTZ technology,” said Steven Liang, VP of product development at Lumens.

The VC-A71SN also includes 12G-SDI port for 4K transmission over traditional baseband networks, which Lumens says gives users the ability to evolve to IP production, or to use the camera flexibly in a variety of workflows. The camera also supports Rec.709 and BT.2020 colour spaces and the FreeD protocol, enabling it to operate in a wide range of broadcast and AV projects, including virtual reality video.
