Following a competitive procurement which saw it beat off competition from the likes of Ikegami and Grass Valley, Sony is to provide a range of OB equipment to leading live coverage facilities supplier SIS Live.
The deal sees SIS Live equip its 20 strong fleet of HD broadcast trucks with at least 45 Sony HDC-2500 live production and HDC 3300 slow motion cameras.
Since the partnership was signed in July, SIS Live has already delivered some of the most high profile events in history using the Sony kit, including the Diamond Jubilee.
The agreement establishes Sony as SIS Live’s preferred supplier of OB camera technology for the next two years.
