Turkey’s sole satellite operator, which manages and operates three satellites, is discussing the services it can offer to global customers.
The Turksat 3A satellite enables Turksat to offer telecommunication services as well as direct TV broadcasting services though a broad area including Turkey, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia.
With the help of its switchable transponders, Turksat 3A acts as a bridge between Europe and Asia.
The company said Turksat 3A’s Turkey coverage has been designed to provide very efficient gain for broadband applications such as VSAT services, giving customers low-cost, up-link systems.
Turksat 3A is fitted with 24 Ku-band transponders and offers beginning of life power of about 8kW.
Turksat 4A was launched in 2014. With Turksat 4A, Turksat offers telecommunication and direct TV broadcasting services throughout Turkey, as well as in Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
Turksat 4A provides Ku-band high-power direct TV broadcasting channels and both C- and Ka-band communications channels.
Turksat 4B provides a total of 792MHz communications capacity, secured by 18 Ku band transponders.
