PAM in the spotlight

A production asset management (PAM) application designed specifically for creative services firms and post-production facilities is being showcased at IBC.

OnPoint is a cloud-based product from TMD that works with other post production equipment, including Avid and Adobe editing systems, to provide core operational functionality within complicated workflows.

Designed to make it easier to handle large volumes of short or long-form content, it offers users the chance to create work lists, supports the browsing and selection of clips and provides approval options.

Tony Taylor, chief executive, TMD, said, “OnPoint’s low start-up costs makes it a particularly cost-effective way for owners to harness full control over content import, their creative processes, and delivery. The power of the software, and the level of detail and automated control provided, deliver a remarkable return on investment.”

OnPoint can be used as a standalone product or included as part of full enterprise set-up within the Mediaflex Unified Media Services (UMS) platform.

Also at IBC, TMD will be showing Aperture, an ingest tool for the digitisation, capture and management of content for broadcasters and media owners.

Chameleon for DAM is also on show. This product enables staff throughout an organisation to manage media, search for content and raise work orders.
