The new Revolt series rig for Canon’s C700 has a new top handle and top plate designed for comfort, according to Shape. The handle grip frame is made from robust CNC machined aluminium and the finger grip from Canadian maple wood (Shape is based in Quebec).
“The grip is also easily adjusted for balance,” said Dirk De Bont, international sales, Shape.
Two 15mm lightweight rod blocs can be fixed to the front and rear of the Revolt VCT Universal Baseplate, to support more accessories. The shoulder mount support is wider, designed for comfort and stability, using gel padding and slip-free material. The new
BP10 baseplate slides, so users can balance the camera more easily.
There are also new Revolt series rigs for Red, and for Canon’s new C200 camera and Panasonic’s upcoming EVA1. The Red Bundle Rig includes: a top plate compatible with Red Weapon, Red Epic Weapon, Red Scarlet Weapon and Red Raven; an extendable top handle with EVF mount; Revolt VCT Universal Baseplate; telescopic handles; follow focus; and Shape’s new 4 x 5.6-inch matte box.
