New 4K/UHD video processing platforms

IBC will witness a live demonstration of a new series of fully integrated 4K/UHD video processing platforms designed to boost performance of HEVC applications.

On show will be the VEGA-6301 compact encoder and the VEGA-7000 high density video server.

The new systems from Advantech feature HEVC encoding acceleration and live VoIP interfaces, and said the company, are designed to streamline the development of more efficient video processing infrastructure solutions in 4K/UHD contribution, production and distribution workflows.

Brian Carr, strategic product development and marketing director, Advantech, said: “The VEGA-6310 and VEGA-7000 bring together our experience in broadcast video processing with our proven embedded computing system design capabilities to create compelling platforms with a significantly reduced power and space envelope.

“We are looking forward to an exciting IBC2016 where we will also be announcing our next-generation video encoding adapter cards that significantly improve on the functionality of the predecessor VEGA-3300 Series, in the same compact and low power footprint.”
