Multimodal approach adds personal touch to controls

At IBC, Ruwido will unveil how its interaction mechanism technologies, such as Tictactile, can be applied to business cases outside of the living room. The company will also demonstrating how its latest developments of multimodal input devices can make watching TV a more personal experience.

Tictactile enables users to navigate the GUI on their TV in the same intuitive way as they interact with their smart devices, while offering a tactile experience. Ruwido claimed that adding the structure of the user interface to the navigation field of the remote control makes moving through content appeal to both the visual and tactile senses and creates a seamless experience for the user.

Ferdinand Maier, CEO, Ruwido, said: “IBC is not only an opportunity to showcase our award-winning product architectures to the industry but also to underpin our designs and innovations by presenting the findings of our scientific research at the conference. Our never-ending search for uniqueness inspires us and keeps us pushing limits of performance.”
