The client-side web technology specialist is demonstrating its web platform for embedded (WPE), a new WebKit port developed with Metrological and optimised for embedded platforms.
Albert Dahan, co-founder and CTO, Metrological, said partnering with Igalia “has been an excellent experience for us. Our shared commitment to the development of open source tools for cable operators around the world has resulted in a powerful solution we expect to be adopted.”
WPE is designed to allow embedders to create simple systems based on web platform technologies. It is designed with hardware acceleration in mind, using common 3D graphics APIs for best performance.
