Medway V3, the latest version of Marquis Broadcast’s flagship media integration product, is now shipping.
“Medway V3 is an ‘interoperability engine’ that delivers cost-effective integration between leading broadcast content applications, ensuring products such as edit platforms, either standalone or using shared storage and third party MAMs and automation systems can work seamlessly together,” explained Ben Miles, business development manager, Marquis Broadcast.
“Medway eliminates file incompatibilities often found in digital workflows to help increase the efficiency and the speed of data transfer.”
Medway V3 now includes new features to support lossy and lossless JPEG2K encoding and support for H.264 encoding for proxy creation. The H.264 support will be shown in an Avid proxy workflow where ingested media is prepared for the offline edit; after that Medway can deliver full resolution trimmed media for Avid to perform the relink and online and finishing.
Medway V3 also supports AS-02, the AMWA standard for versioning of sequences.
