One of the early breaking debuts at IBC2012 will be from Kroma, which will unveil the 7000 series of monitors at the show, available in 9-in (in two different versions, for field work and studio), 17-in and 24-in versions.

One of the early breaking debuts at IBC2012 will be from Kroma, which will unveil the 7000 series of monitors at the show, available in 9-in (in two different versions, for field work and studio), 17-in and 24-in versions.

The new series includes independent waveforms for Y, Cb and Cr, vectorscope and histogram, which help in the signal monitoring. The new monitors feature 3G/HD/DH-SDI, PAL, DVI-I and HDMI inputs, which translates in flexibility and greater functionalities. Audio monitoring is assisted by its improved VU-meters (1dBFs definition) that can display up to 16 audio channels at once. Monitors also feature audio inputs (analogue and embedded audio in the SDI signal) and outputs (analogue and digital AES-EBU, headset and speakers).

New stand-out features include the In Monitor Displays (static or TSL protocol), and Tally on screen or lamp. Correct camera calibration is assisted with the addition of two new functions: false colour and luma check.

The series also features an improved on-screen user-friendly interface.
