KabelKiosk interaktiv in IBC demo debut

Set to be demonstrated for the first time at IBC is KabelKiosk interaktiv, a hybrid TV application from Eutelsat affiliate company KabelKiosk that enables cable and IP network operators to offer interactive services to their clients, connecting broadband and broadcast.

KabelKiosk interaktiv is based on the ETSI standard HbbTV, and provides VoD supported by Rovi/Nowtilus, local network operator content, applications and catch-up services of TV channels partnering with KabelKiosk, EPG services and red button applications for multiple value added services. Use of a few remote control buttons is said to allow easy navigation and browsing.

As a white label application, KabelKiosk interaktiv can be branded with the network operator’s label.

KabelKiosk is an independent and integrated digital channel and service platform for European cable networks, operated by Eutelsat visAvision, a Eutelsat company. The platform offers distribution of German and multi-national TV channels as well as hybrid services to cable and broadband networks. The channel line-up comprises a broad range of free and pay TV channels in SD and HD as well as foreign languages bouquets covering nine different languages with 32 channels.
