The latest enhancements to the Digital Mobile News Gathering (DMNG) system, including a new HEVC 4K contribution video encoder, are among the highlights for Aviwest at IBC.
The DMNG HE4000 is a 1RU-sized device that is designed to help broadcasters deliver content at low bit rates. It features Aviwest SafeStreams technology that bonds together IP networks to ensure the delivery of live transmissions even in unpredictable mobile network conditions.
Also new at IBC is a grid view for DMNG Manager, the server application that is used for managing a fleet of DMNG equipment.
Working with a grid of thumbnail feeds, the user can drag and drop video streams to one or multiple receivers
or CDNs.
Aviwest’s DMNG app, which turns any smartphone into a live broadcast video camera, will also be on show, along with an SDK that allows a broadcaster to embed the core of the app within its own application.
AVIWEST’s DMNG system allows broadcasters to capture and broadcast live HD or SD video over multiple networks, including bonded 3G/4G mobile, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and satellite.
