Fusion Essential is a content playback and protection DRM software that features the strongest level of approved encryption (AES 128) when content is distributed via HTTP Live Streaming (HLS).
Inside Secure said it was designed for the ‘challenging economic models’ of free to air (FTA) broadcasters.
The application uses Inside Secure’s obfuscation software security to “guarantee the integrity of content, strong resistance to reverse engineering, and protection against keys and secrets theft.”
According to the company, FTA distribution of content allows consumers to access various TV programmes without requiring a subscription. Thus, advertising and sponsorship can help broadcasters to reach a much larger audience.
It features the UltraViolet Common File Format, code and data protection against attacks and support for download and play, subtitles and immersive audio.
