Spin Digital is demonstrating a media player that it claims is ready for 8K video.
The Spin Digital Media Player integrates the company’s HEVC/H.265 decoder and video renderer which it said provides ultra-high quality playback supporting 4K, 8K and beyond.
According to the company, the Spin Digital 8K HEVC/H.265 Media Player is the first solution for 8K playback on PC platforms, and is the only software media player that can support 8Kp60 with smooth playback, support for 10-bit video, and 22.2 audio.
For 4K, high frame rates of 120Hz and beyond, are also possible.
