Rohde & Schwarz DVS will present numerous advancements to its studio broadcast and post production products at IBC, including support for Sony’s XAVC codec in DVS Venice and Clipster systems.

XAVC is a Sony recording format that can accommodate 4K resolution at up to 60 frames per second. DVS will also expand its studio production line with a modular media asset management system.

The Clipster DI workstation now supports AS-02 and IMF (Interoperable Master Format), in addition to XAVC. Clipster can create Interoperable Master Packages (IMPs), and the IMF Delivery Tool can be used to make multi-lingual versions.

The SpycerBox storage system is now available in version 4 with improved performance and new tools in the web-based GUI SAN Remo.

Bernhard Reitz, head of product management at Rohde & Schwarz DVS, said: “Since more and more broadcasters are working in file-based environments, we are happy to provide them with perfectly matching tools even up to 4K.”
