Deltacast will head to IBC on the back of a highly successful NAB, where it showcased a host of new products for the future of video, including multiple 4K options.

Among the new entrants, the company reports that the DELTA-flex family was very positively welcome by the market. Billed as the key to building flexible solutions with an “amazing” time to market, whether that be in 3G-6G-12G SDI, HDMI, analogue, optical or even IP solutions, the DELTA-flex family of cards provides a wide range of video interfaces thanks to the diversity of SFP video modules:

  • SDI (6G/3G/HD/SD) coaxial interface (DIN 1.0/2.3 or HD-BNC).
  • SDI (6G/3G/HD/SD) optical interface (single-mode, multi-mode, CWDM)
  • HDMI / DVI (225MHz max TMDS)
  • Analog PAL / NTSC (CVBS – composite)

“We continuously validate new video SFP modules and extend the list of compatible references,” says the company.

The DELTA-sfp-2 card can be equipped with up to two SFP video modules, which enables very flexible configurations such as a mixed HDMI and 3G SDI card, or a mixed coaxial and optical SDI card, or an analogue and SDI card.

Video SFP modules provides up to two video channels (transceiver, dual RX or dual TX), which allows up to 4 video channels in flexible interface types on a small form factor card. Some video modules can also integrate specific features such as inputs with reclockers, transceivers with bypass relays, special diagnostic features (laser power, incoming signal eye monitoring…)

4K and UHDTV-1 up to 60Hz formats support is possible with Dual 6G-SDI (coax or optical) modules.

An impressively long list of supported standards and features is available here.
