Avid is showcasing MediaCentral Premiere Pro Connector, which enables Adobe Premiere Pro users to connect into Avid’s production environment through the Avid MediaCentral platform.
Using Premiere Pro’s extension panel in conjunction with Avid’s MediaCentral | UX, Adobe Premiere Pro users can collaborate with Avid users, even enabling customers to mix and match tools to fit their workflow needs and budgets.
More specifically, the MediaCentral Premiere Pro Connector presents the MediaCentral | UX user interface within the Premiere Pro user interface, allowing customers to connect their Adobe editors to Avid systems including Interplay | Production, Interplay | MAM and
iNEWS. According to Avid, with the MediaCentral | UX panel Premiere Pro editors can also register Avid assets to Premiere Pro projects for editing in place; search for media assets via the Media | Index; chat with other MediaCentral | UX users; navigate database hierarchies; and see, add and modify metadata.
