Automated live production from multiCAM

At IBC2105, multiCAM is showcasing a range of solutions to easily produce live video content

At IBC2105, multiCAM is showcasing a range of solutions to easily produce live video content.

The systems all offer video mixers and switchers features like recording, live streaming, podcast publishing and more, drawing on all the capabilities of PTZ cameras. This includes a fully automated mode to manage the live session.

The multiCAM E-Learning system allows operators to easily produce podcasts and create videos through a single touchscreen interface. It can work with any PTZ camera, automatically detecting and switching to the correct camera angle or slide shot. It then enables operators to easily produce podcasts and create videos by simply clicking on thumbnails.

It offers an auto mode (multiCAM tracking) which only requires a start and stop button; the production is driven by the artificial intelligence of the standalone system. The AI automatically switches between camera views and puts the best shot on-air.

Also on show is multiCAM Studio, an all-in-one system for live video production, using up to four cameras. There’s also multiCAM Radio, an automated visual radio studio that allows broadcasters to air live programmes 24/7 – it links audio and video content and permits broadcasters to deliver radio on demand without human intervention.

The systems allow users to “quickly and easily, automatically or manually produce top-quality video content,” said multiCAM CEO, Stan Walbert.

Walbert added that the flexible technology is based on considerable experience in live production, and its latest products “can be integrated into a wide range of applications.”
