Adobe has unveiled Adobe Anywhere, a software toolset that creates a multiuser collaborative private cloud and is aimed at broadcast organisations that need the ability to create video productions quickly and efficiently without being limited by location.
As part of LAN or WAN workflows, it’s designed to works transparently with Adobe’s creative applications such as Premiere Pro, After Effects and Prelude.
“We see great potential in using social technologies to improve the way we work,” said Michael Coleman, senior product manager, collaborative workflows. “In recent years, pervasive internet connectivity, mobile devices, and cloud computing have dramatically reshaped the way we consume media. Adobe Anywhere harnesses the same forces to reshape the way we create media.
“It allows content creators to collaborate effectively, to build flexible teams of local and remote talent, and to efficiently manage large collections of media,” Coleman added. “These capabilities allow modern organisations to increase quality and productivity under tight deadlines and budgets.” Planned availability is during the first half of next year. – Carolyn Giardina
