Accuracy tool for archives

A free enhancement to the mediARC archiving solution is being introduced, showcased alongside a broad suite of products that allow broadcasters and archivists to store, manipulate and retrieve valuable archive materials. NOA describes this complete capability as ‘Archive Asset Management’ (AAM).

Christophe Kummer, managing partner of NOA, explained, “We are announcing Item History for mediARC, enabling media archivists to more easily ensure and verify the accuracy of their database.

“With this significant extension to mediARC’s capability, we believe we have redefined what archive asset management is and does.”

Item History allows cataloguing teams and supervisors to ascertain not only who changed an archive item and when – but also, exactly what was changed. This allows users to easily and quickly review previous versions, said the company.
