The ever-expanding telecoms and media company Altice has added three more to its team. Régis Turrini is joining as head of regulation, government affairs and strategy; Eric Klipfel, previously at SFR, is joining as head of B2C; and Nick Brown will head up investor relations.

A restructure at AMC Networks International – Central Europe has seen its non-sport programming department divide into two new areas; film and entertainment, and kids and infotainment, which be led by new director Judit Minda (pictured). Katolin Radóczy will continue to work as chief programming officer while also heading up the film and entertainment division.

Anthony Morelli has been announced as the new chief revenue officer at Artel Video Systems. Prior to joining Artel, Morelli was vice president of global customer care and global media software professional services at Imagine Communications.

The Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) board of directors has elected Richard Friedel of FOX Networks as ATSC board chairman for 2016. Friedel is the executive vice president and general manager for FOX Networks engineering and operations, and has previously served in various positions at Capital Cities/ABC, NBC News and local television stations.

Cobalt Digital has appointment John Snow as senior FPGA software engineer manager and Cristian Garcia as western US sales manager. Snow will serve as senior FPGA architect on the Cobalt embedded engineering team.

Friend MTS has strengthened its international service offering with the appointment of Chris White (pictured), to the position of senior solutions architect. White is an experienced solutions architect with more than 15 years’ experience in creating internet video platforms for a variety of international markets.

John Bigay has joined the executive team at audio specialist iZotope as chief marketing officer. The company has also appointed a new sales manager for EMEA, 4M4You owner Mike van der Logt.

Video industry PR and marketing agency Jump has welcomed Alicia Root (pictured) as PR Associate. Prior to joining Jump, Root held the role of US account executive at Platform PR. She also spent seven years as a managing editor at TVBEurope publisher NewBay Media, overseeing the daily operations of Government Video.

Start-up telecoms company NetIX has hired Ken Lefkowitz as CEO and Mariyan Rangelov as CFO. Prior to joining the team full-time, both had been advising NetIX on its expansion and the internationalisation of the sales and marketing team. “Ken is leading by example on internationalising our team,” said NetIX founder and chairman Neven Dilkov. “This is a key priority for us as we expand to new geographies.”

The new officers on the board of directors at non-profit industry body OpenIX Association have been announced; William Charnock as chairman; Christian Koch as vice chairman; new board member Greg Hankins as treasurer; and executive director Gabe Cole as secretary. In addition, new board member Vinay Nagpal has been reappointed chair of the Open-IX marketing committee and Eli D Scher has been appointed chair of the data centre standards committee.

The Telos Alliance has appointed Krissy Rushing (pictured), as the company’s new marketing manager. Rushing comes to the broadcast audio world from residential and commercial audio-video, where she has been a writer, editor, content marketer, PR and SEO consultant, and communications specialist for more than 18 years.

Stuart McGeechan is to become senior vice president of services and operations at ThinkAnalytics TV, a video search and recommendations engine. McGeechan joins the company from Cisco International and in his new role will lead efforts to strengthen the adoption and support of ThinkAnalytics technology worldwide.

The London-based management team at TVT has added two to its number. Andy Steele, previously vice president of global markets operations at BBC Worldwide, joins TVT as vice president of global operations. Hayden Punter takes on the role of vice president of finance and resources. Ian Brotherston, CEO of the indie media services and post house, commented: “I am delighted to be welcoming both Andy and Hayden on board to the TVT team at such an exciting time for the company as we drive international expansion and gain traction in markets across the world.”

Wazee Digital’s CEO Harris Morris (pictured), has been named as chairman of the board. Morris joined the company in 2014 and under his leadership Wazee Digital has repositioned itself for growth with the launch of its distribution platform, Wazee Digital Core, as a stand-alone product; rebranded from T3Media to Wazee Digital; and refocused the licensing line of business to grow new revenue through sub-distribution partnerships.

Syed Ahmed has moved from Deluxe to ZOO Digital, where he will focus on international business development. The company will become one of the few international providers to offer global media production and management services for the entertainment industry across the Middle East, South Asia and Asian Pacific.
