Netflix announces interactive Bear Grylls show

Continues Netflix's experiments with more interactive content

Netflix has announced a new interactive show, this time targeted at families: You vs. Wild starring survival expert Bear Grylls.

Following the success of Bandersnatch which used the interactive model for grown-ups, as well as the children’s content Puss in Book: Trapped in an Epic Tale and Buddy Thunderstruck: The Maybe Pile, You vs. Wild will give viewers the chance to choose the course of the story in each episode.

“I’m so proud to deliver this first-of-its-kind live-action interactive series, really giving viewers an all access pass to explore the world and its landscapes in my boots,” said Grylls. “The stakes are high in this one!”

Netflix original series VP Cindy Holland said during the announcement that interactive content was an ongoing experiment for the company; “It’s still in the evaluation and growing stage.”

Starting on 10th April, the eight-episode You vs. Wild is directed by Ben Simms and made by production companies Electus and Bear Grylls Ventures.
