Euronews partners with European Capital of Culture

Network will create TV, digital and socially shared video content

Euronews has signed a partnership with the 2019 European Capital of Culture, Matera, Italy.

The network will create TV, digital and video content showcasing Matera and encouraging viewers to get involved in the Capital of Culture’s projects in 2019.

Euronews is Europe’s most-watched news network, broadcasting across TV, digital and social platforms in 12 languages.

The Matera European Capital of Culture 2019 opening ceremony will be livestreamed on Euronews on 19th January.

Euronews chief revenue officer Carolyn Gibson said: “We are proud to partner with the Fondazione Matera 2019 to create and broadcast exclusive content to showcase the events Matera has organised as European Capital of Culture.

“As Euronews reaches nearly 400 million homes across 160 countries, we will quite literally be bringing Matera 2019 to the world.”
