DC SVoD platform to receive September launch

Titans will be the first scripted original to debut on DC Universe

Details about upcoming SVoD platform DC Universe have been unveiled.

The service, which will cost $7.99 a month, will see an official launch on 15th September in the US.

DC Universe will feature both live-action and animated scripted originals, library content, digital comics, and a hub for DC Entertainment breaking news.

Titans, which was first announced along with plans for the platform itself in April 2017, will be the first scripted original to make its debut on the platform. The show will have its world premiere on 3rd October to coincide with New York Comic-Con while its first episode will air on 12th October with episodes released weekly for 12 weeks.

A DC Universe membership will include access to all content as well as the chance to win prizes, earn rewards and engage with the DC fan community.

DC Daily, hosted by Kevin Smith, is the daily show that will cover news about all things DC. Other series that will air on the platform include Stargirl, Metropolis, Young Justice: Outsiders, Harley Quinn, Swamp Thing and Doom Patrol.

Library titles that will feature on DC Universe include the original Wonder Woman, the Batman animated series, Teen Titans (2003), Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Batman Beyond, the Justice League animated series, and more.
