AP, Agencia EFE partner for news video archive

Agencia EFE’s video will be available on both AP Archive and AP Video Hub

The Associated Press (AP) has announced a collaboration with Spanish news agency Agencia EFE, giving AP clients access to a curated mix of breaking news, world exclusives, features, business, lifestyle and entertainment video.

Agencia EFE’s video will be available on both AP Archive and AP Video Hub. AP Archive offers footage from global archive video collections across topics including hard news, entertainment, people, culture, and lifestyles. The collection adds over 20,000 videos each year, archived digitally and in high definition. AP Video Hub launched in 2012 to address the increased demand for video news.

AP director of business development and partnerships Paul Shanley said: “We continue this trend with our collaboration with Agencia EFE, a trusted news organisation with strong editorial values and a rich history. Their global content coverage brings value to our customers and reinforces AP’s position as the news industry’s leading source of video content.”

Agencia EFE chief digital and business officer Juan Varela added: “Through this collaboration with AP, Agencia EFE is expanding its capabilities to deliver the best news content with a Spanish and Latin American view to worldwide audiences. Together, EFE and AP aim to deliver one of the most comprehensive news video services available today.”
