Producing even smaller connectors while maintaining or improving connector performance is the mission of LEMO, which is showcasing its latest products at BVE.
Among them are the latest Tiny Trio of LEMO connector developments. Based around smaller diameter contacts though still with high contact ratings, the device features an inbuilt spring to ensure continuous contact even with high vibration.
Consequently, LEMO says it has been able to squeeze five contacts each rated to 1.5A into the tiny 00 series which is only 6mm diameter. This attribute makes it ideal for communications and other equipment where very small yet tough connectors are required for handling signals. Additionally, LEMO is now able to offer 12 contacts in the 0B series which is only 9.5mm diameter, also 1.5A continuous rated.
